Description: Argus C3 Match-Matic - “The Brick” This camera is in good condition but please review all the auction images as they are part of the description.You will notice some evidence of use on the various knobs/buttons but there is no abuse or damage. The case is complete and works well but the strap is clearly broken. The Argus C3 Match-Matic was featured in the movie, Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets and was used by Colin Creevey to document activities at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. This camera has NOT been film-tested so performance cannot be guaranteed. With that said, the camera appears to be in working condition. The focus mechanism works (bright rangefinder patch) and the shutter fires properly. This camera uses a non-traditional system for labeling shutter speeds and exposure values so I’m not sure if the speeds are “correct” or within acceptable limits. Film transport works but the operation is quirky so please read a manual (available online for free) before attempting to use this camera.
