Description: This listing is for a tested working Apple II+ motherboard with 48K of memory. Production date stamp is 8504?? and board Revision is 820-0044-D. The motherboard memory was tested using Apple-Cillin, and Apple Dealer Diagnostics programs. The system passed all RAM and ROM testing like a champ. This is a very nice clean working A2+ motherboard looking for a good home. 276Motherboard Testing ProcessMy motherboard testing process consists of the following steps:[a] I first remove any peripheral cards that are in the board if there are any. If there is a language card in slot zero I will remove it and place a known good DRAM chip in E3.[b] After that I inspect the board to make sure each position has the correct IC and that they are oriented correctly. I also inspect the back of the board for any obvious cut traces. I may also do some minor cleaning at this time.[c] Using my known good PSU, I apply power to the board with a known good keyboard and monitor attached. If I get the beep, the Apple ][ symbol at the top of the page and an AppleSoft prompt then I will type a few characters on the keyboard, try a control reset and proceed to further testing. If not, then I will diagnose and fix the board before proceeding to the next steps.[d] Next I will insert a known good controller card in slot 6 and connect it to a known good floppy drive. I then run Apple-Cillin diagnostics on the motherboard RAM (fully populated) and Apple-Cillin ROM diagnostics on the motherboard AppleSoft and AutoStart ROM chips. If all goes well, I will proceed to step d.[e] I run Apple Dealer Diagnostics on the motherboard RAM and ROM chips. If that all goes well, I will proceed to cleaning the board more thoroughly and then I re-run both diagnostics again before enclosing the motherboard in an anti-static bag and the wrapping the bag with several layers of bubble wrap. So, I make certain that (1) the board boots properly, (b) all DRAM and ROM chips are good, (c) that there is correct video output from the RCA jack and (d) that the system will load software from a known good controller and disk drive in slot 6. I do NOT do and color bar testing or fully populate every peripheral slot.If the motherboard does not test right, then that is an entire story that would consume several pages of text on the processes to diagnose and repair it."International buyers – please note: Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost.
