Description: This is a rare and beautiful art nouveau/art deco period, 1915-1920 Galluba & Hoiffman half doll laying on top of a boudoire vanity box. The box might have been a chocolate box presentation or it may have held vanity items. These beautiful boxes graced the vanities of the well to do flappers of the day. This half doll has a beautiful face with all of her original paint and her original wig. The clothing is also all original. However the silk gown has disintegrated around the doll. I have left it as is. A new silk gown can be fitted to the doll with silk, lace and lame. The doll is laying in a garden, and appears to be smelling the flowers that she has just gathered into her basket. She wears the Galluba signature painted ballet slippers, and she has jointed arms. The condition of the presentation is good antique. No damage to the bisque/porcelain, no paint loss. Lots of silk disintegration in the doll's gown and some silk shredding on one side of the box top. Please see more condition details in the report above. I did not attempt to find stamps on the doll's body by totally removing the remaining silk on the doll. She may be marked or stamped under the fabrics. The measurements are photographed for you. I am selling this Galluba half doll presentation "AS IS". Please see all of the detailed, closeup photographs above. Please email with questions. I
