Description: PLEASE READ full description and look at all pictures! I'm not a violin expert and can only describe as much as I know. I did speak to a professional violinist who told me as much as he could. This is not an authentic Stradivarius, but is a copy of the design. It is not full size, but is most likely 3/4 size. The sound posts inside the violin are loose and will need to be re-set-up (this is an easy and pretty inexpensive repair). But he said the violin itself is sturdy, has good tone, and would be great for a student/ as a step-up model. The strings are new and are Dominant brand known for their quick response and rich sound. The bridge is a new Aubert brand that was pre-scored for the strings. The bow is a brand new brazilwood bow that will need to be rosin-ed to be able to play. The rosin it comes with is Select Rosin (dark). The body of the instrument has scuffs, dents, scratches, etc from age and use, which do not affect the playing of the instrument. The fingerboard has wear from use as well. The case is in very rough condition. It's sturdy enough to travel/ ship, but may not last too much longer. The inside of the case is a bit dirty and the strap for the bow is coming off. The tail does NOT have fine tuners for any of the strings. SOLD AS IS!
