Description: PALM BEACH ESTATE FIND! Stunning Antoine Prevost original oil on canvas measuring a whopping 31” x 41” framed in simple black painted wood. Born in Quebec City, Prevost is an internationally recognized Canadian artist. His work was influenced by the art of Jean Paul Lemieux and Benoit East. Working in both oil and watercolors, he is best know for his simple Surrealistic faceless figures in outdoor , naturalistic settings. The muted palate and detailed brushstrokes create an evocative tone. One could read a multitude of meanings into this painting. My photos don’t do it justice! His paintings on canvas are more rare than the watercolors and this is a large one in comparison to some I’ve seen online. Condition is excellent with no damage to the canvas and some light scuffing to the frame. Please ask any and all questions prior to offer or purchase. PLEASE NOTE: We are offering a total of 3 paintings by Prevost, all from the same consignor. The family is from Montreal and believe their patents purchased these in the 1970s or 80s but have no further information. If you are interested in more than one, please message us to discuss. We apologize for the high cost of shipping but all of our carriers have raised their rates exorbitantly on oversized items like this.
