Lovely antique/vintage handmade single pair of brass/metal flower & leaf curtain holdbacks in good condition commensurate with age. The holdbacks feature a wonderful organic flower and leaf design made from a lightweight brass and/or gold metal. The center or stem is definitely, the flower & leaves are probably also brass, but I'M NOT 100% SURE. IT COULD BE ANOTHER METAL THAT HAS BEEN PAINTED GOLD. Either way, the holdbacks do have a nice patina. Since these appear to be handmade, each holdback is slightly unique. I do want to point out that the brass is hollow, most notably the stem which supports the flower. If you look closely, you will see that there is some denting of the brass. However, this does not detract in any way from the it's charm. Each holdback measures roughly 10 1/4" long. The flower measures approx. 2 1/2" wide x 3" long. and the leaves measure approx. 4 3/8" w (at the widest point) x 5" L ( at the longest point). Each holdback attaches to the wall with one screw. Because of all the open work of the design, the holdbacks are a bit on the lighter side and would most likely work best holding back a very light pair of drapery such as sheers or linen.
