Description: Antique military WWI convex, or bubble glass, framed portrait of a soldier. Large size, measures approx. 23" x 17". Glass is good, a few scratches to be expected with age. Frame looks to be wood but is actually a combination wood and plaster (or chalkware) that has a few spots of wear (see photos). Back is a heavy cardboard material. Picture and back have warped, either from moisture or just age, I tried to capture that in the photos. Still in relatively good shape for the age. Glass has some spots on underside that could be cleaned, and I was wondering if I could find a name under the cardboard backing, but I was afraid of damaging the portrait, so I left it as is.
