Description: Antique wood molding planer.The toe is stamped L & I.J. White, Buffalo, N.Y. and J. Neff, who I believe to be the original owner.L.& I.J. White company was in production from 1837-1928.Estimated age, early 19th century to early 20th century.Heel is stamped with I believe to be a 1 and 6, or 16 which is all I can make out, but the width is 1 1/4" and concave.9 1/2" long, 1 1/4" wide at the base, and 5 1/2" tall including the blade and handle.Cutter blade has some rust and would work more smoothly with honing.Condition is good for the age.
