Description: This little box was likely made to hold snuff.Measuring 3" long, 1 3/8" across and 1.75" high.Formed of this wood wrapped around the base and secured with tiny nails at the bottom and glued at the side seam/overlap to secure.Leather pull tab is secured under the lid with a small nail/tack.Undated yellowed newspaper article found inside included. It is a "what is it?" article identifying it as most likely a Norwegian snuff box.No signature.Coming to you from our smoke-free home.
