Description: Webster model M1 magneto for sale. This magneto puts out a WEAK spark by giving the armature a quick spin by hand and by scratching the lead out wire against my steel bench. I don’t think it will start or run an engine in its current condition but i believe it’s a great candidate for a simple rebuild or even a quick re charge may do this magneto wonders. The armature bushings seem to have the typical “slop” not tight but not completely worn out like others I have seen. 2 of the Mounting studs seem to be good and they have a bolt pattern of 1 1/2” x 2” on centers. 2 studs are missing but the holes are good. Pot metal base. I do not see any cracks unlike most pot metal bases! One bearing plate has one small chip. Nice original brass band. If you’re looking for a barn fresh magneto and have the Knowledge and tools to get this working like new again this is the item for you! See pictures for the absolute best description.
