Description: Offering a two-piece antique wood coin still bank, well turned to create its whimsical mushroom shape. Someone long ago couldn't resist filling the coin slot on its lid with a sliver of wood and painting it, giving it such strong folk art appeal. I'm not familiar with the language the script words are written in...perhaps Dutch or German? It stands just over 3" tall overall and its two parts fit together very snugly. Character wear consists of two old tiny pin bug holes on its side but it's chip and crack free. Leave as is with the coin slot closed or remove the bait of wood to take it back to its original use...I'll leave that option up to you! :) This is my 25th year buying and selling on eBay.
