W. (William W.) Sivright was born in Hutchinson, McLeod County, Minnesota 8/16/1862. Ca. 1893 he was associated with his uncle, W. E. Sivright in the implement and hardware businesses. W. W. Sivright was very visible in Minnesota life, not only serving as manager of the Minnesota State Agricultural Society, but also in politics, serving in the Minnesota House from 1895-96 (District 40) and in the Senate from 1899-1902 (District 24) This business was sold in 1913. This tip tray is a genuine testament to the art and culture of early 20th-century sporting memorabilia.
