Description: This is a lovely English lustreware lidded sauce tureen decorated with pink flowers and green leaves. It displays beautifully, but please read condition details below. This little serving dish has great character, with shell-shaped handles and its original lid. It has no base marks. This tureen is in antique condition, showing some signs of its age, but it displays very nicely. It has a nice white surface with just a couple minor light brown spots, no crazing, and virtually no paint or glaze wear. The surface is glossy and reflective. It has one hairline crack on each side of the body of the dish and one in the rim. The crack on one side almost forms a circle. See photo #5. The lid has a 1/3" chip in the rim and a hairline crack from the rim. Please see photos for details. The dish without the lid is 4 1/2" high. It measures approximately 7 1/2" from handle to handle.
