Description: Here is a very attractive antique 19th C Staffordshire pearlware/mocha ware seaweed mug. It measures about 4 7/8" tall and about 3 1/2" diameter at the mouth. It is in very good condition overall. There is some superficial flaking/wear to side of handle. There are some scattered minute flecks to top inside edge. There are a couple glazed-over flakes to top inside edge, done in the making. There are no other chips or cracks. There is some very fine allover crazing. There is some smudgy light brownish discoloration in places, most notably on interior near top. There is a bit of stray black color on handle which appears to be in the making. When viewed at the right angle I can see a maker's mark of some sort in brown band area which includes "Pint", a crown mark with "CR" and "490". A neat piece. Please see photos.
