Description: This antique wall calendar from Springfield Fire & Marine Insurance Co is a true gem for any collector of advertising memorabilia. Featuring a perpetual design, it can be used year after year and would make a great addition to any office, study or living space. The calendar is signed on the back side by a previous owner, adding an extra touch of authenticity to this unique piece. The front is stamped on the middle left side reading “Springfield Fire & Marine Insurance Company Chartered 1849 Springfield Massachusetts Chicago - San Francisco- Montreal”. The imagery depicts a stunning wagon scene with a design that strays away from sharp dark edges. The back side exposes the manufacturer name. The calendar was produced by American Art Works out of Ohio. Overall the calendar is in pretty good condition considering the age. It is slightly faded in color but is still recognizable. There are scratches and a dent in the upper right corner, and some staining most visible in the sky portion of the image. On the backside the mounting piece is no longer connected, so to hang the calendar a new one will need to be added. All that being said the calendar still looks great.
