Description: Antique carved ebony wood sculpture statue bust of an African woman is a stunning piece of art history that will add a touch of tribal elegance to any collection. Purchased 20 yrs ago from collector in New Orleans that said their relative traveled the seas on a shipping freighter. Was told age was sometime between 1900 - 1920. It measures approx. 8.5" tall 4 3/4" wide and 3 1/2" depth. Intricate details, carved beaded necklace, pierced elongated ears ect. Sculpture is in good condition for its age, no splits or cracks. Does have some imperfections but could have been just made that way.
