Description: Writing Set We are selling this exceptionally fine carved coral stationary set. This five piece set includes a letter opener with coral branch handle, a very finely carved seal, and two wax knives. The set also includes a great carved coral mechanical pencil with carved bust of what looks like Shakespeare, the bust has been repaired. The case is marked for Russian St. Petersbourg jewelers Nicholls & Plincke. The set isn't hallmarked but may be gilt silver. Condition: Several damages to the coral some with repairs including the bust of shakespeare. One wax cutter is damaged, coral branch on letter opener is as well.
