Description: This Rockingham brown glazed teapot was made in the mid to late 1800s. It measures approximate 6 3/4" tall, 9 3/4" long from handle to spout, and 6 1/2" wide. It is quite heavy, weighing just over 3 pounds. This is interesting because it has Rebekah at the Well with palm trees in a raised image on one side, and a Japanese man carrying bricks of tea on the other. It seems unusual because typically the Japanese man appears on both sides doing different activities, or Rebekah is on both sides. Having Rebecca on one side and the Japanese man on the other is very uncommon! This teapot is missing the lid, and there is surface wear. There is a lot of black "soot" on the base and lower area. There is one tiny chip on the edge of the spout, as seen in the last photo. Please see my pictures, and thanks for looking! Fragile items are packaged securely and with care.
