Description: U.S. Cadet Rifle Model 1868/69 Socket Bayonet. 15.25 blade with a 3" socket length. The inside diameter of the socket is .781" which is the same size of the Model 1855. So they would fit all Model 1855 along with the Springfield Trapdoor 50-70 Allin Conversion Rifles. It's not really known whether the Cadet Model did officially exist. There is a possibility that it might just be the Model 1855 cut down to a cadet size, and then blued since the M1855 were not. The fullers, edges and the US marking on the ricasso all conform to the M1855. A great addition to any collector of the Allin Conversion and or the US Musket M1861-63. See photos.
