Description: This pair of beautiful, and now rare antique dial knobs were made in the 1920's by the MARCO Mfg. Co. in the United States. They were typically used on expensive, early broadcast radio receivers and advanced crystal radio receivers that required critical tuning for finding weak stations and "logging-in" of their dial positions for future reference. The (nine to one) "Vernier Reduction" of these dials slows the tuning rate such that the 180-degree rotation of the radio's tuning capacitor will require a full 4-1/2 turns of the knob, making fine-tuning easy. They will serve nicely on antique or reproduction rebuilds, as well as for ham antenna tuners, amplifiers, etc. Please Note and carefully examine my photos which show the small chip in the plastic housings of both dials just below their knobs. I have described this in my "CONDITION DESCRIPTION" section.
