A beautiful sharpener tool, a quill cutter, with the maker name WILLY ( William was the brother of Thomas Nowill ). Nowill Co ( established late 18 century ), famous for producing dessert knives, fancy pen, pocket knives. Their goods was considered a high quality and quality sells. There are 2 parts to this tool : A quill cutter and a trimmer ( sharp knife ). A quill was inserted into the hole of the top of the tool ( slightly open ) ,when you press on it to close it, it cut the edges of the dip pen.and shape it to hold the ink. The trimmer is to sharp the pencils. The last photo shows how to use it. Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work. Dimensions : Rectangular form.
