Description: This Antique Hocking Valley Oasis #20 Fruit Crusher/Grape Press was made in Lancaster Pennsylvania early 1900. This piece features an iron crank wheel with wooden handle, with heavy aluminum grinding cylinders for crushing everything from grapes to larger fruit, such as apples. This Crusher was used as a preparation tool for a secondary wine press, which would have used the crushed fruit produced by the grinder to then make into wine. This crusher would have been placed on top of or would have straddled a large wooden barrel to collect the ground fruit. This piece still features the wonderful original graphics and model number in yellow lettering on the dark wood. A stunning piece with wonderful patina. This is a very old and used piece and has scratches, scrapes, chips, etc. as seen in the photo's, it also has a crack split in the funnel wood where a bolt goes through. as seen in the photo's. The mechanisms and crank all turn but bind sometimes and need to go back and forth to free it up. The overall length of the base frame is 30 1/2". The total height measures just under 14" The funnel is 20 1/2" x 18 1/4" This is a great display piece for any collector.Local pickup is available or we will work with your shipper or you can use the UPS shipping option in this listing.
