Description: 17-383 Today we're offering a fantastic Prattware 9" earthenware transfer cabinet plate, created by "F.&R. Pratt" Co. (two brothers), circa 1850, in one of the Fenton potteries of Staffordshire, England. The company became famous for their high quality, underglaze transfer engravings. The earliest pieces are unmarked as is our plate. The art work for this particular scene was created by Jesse Austin whom the company hired in 1840. It is known as "The Bully" and is quite self explanatory. The level of detail is amazing! We really love the malachite green border - it just pops! The condition is good with a slight amount of crazing and fine scratches. * No hassle returns - buyer pays return shipping. Track Page Views WithAuctiva's Counter
