Description: Fantastic door from the mid-19th Century! It was original to an 1840s bank barn that was reclaimed near Seaman, Ohio The door is well made, and has beautiful hand forged hinges. The door is still very sturdy and can be used. None of these items are perfect after being used for over 150 years. The brown/gray old growth wood will display wonderfully in a house or outbuilding. The surfaces are completely original; the same texture and feel of the grain that this lumber had over a century ago. The door measures 36 inches x 73 inches and is 2 1/2 inches thick. There is a pair of these with the other listed seperately.Please take a look at all of the photos to see the great quality of this door. Rarely are such old items found so complete. The hours of craftsmanship that produced such a sturdy product have stood the test of time. You do not see this level of quality and patina on newer lumber.
