Description: This is a wonderful Antique Mounted Bronze Buddha Bust Fragment from Thailand. The smaller / miniature bust dates from the 16th Century and was produced during the Ayutthaya Period of Thai history. This piece was purchased in Bangkok in the early 1970's by my father who was then an active antique dealer in Penang, Malaysia. He purchased the piece from Peng Seng a well known Antique dealer in Thailand at the time. Please review the pictures closely in regards to the overall condition of this Bust. There is glue residue where the mounting post meets the wood and where the piece is mounted to the post (See Picture #9 thru #11). Buddha Bust Dimensions: 2 inches wide at the base, 2 3/8 inches high with a depth of 1/4 of an inch. Height including Wood Base is 3 1/8 inches.
