Description: For sale is a really nice round shaped necklace pendant made by Meissen in the 20th century . The center has a round porcelain medallion that is hand painted with that superb cobalt blue ground color with some fancy gilding and a superb polychrome floral arrangement on white ground in the center. What makes this a bit more special than most are the really fancy 14K gold mounts. One rarely ever sees gold mounts on these pieces! Nicer than all but one I have come across over the years. It looks very elegant! The porcelain piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue swords mark as shown - 1st quality and the gold is marked 585 on the part that the necklace goes through. The entire piece together is 0.1875 inches thick and 1.625 inches in diameter - the necklace attachment part sticks out about 0.25 inches. It is in superb condition with three of the tiny loops in the gold mounts along the bottom not having formed perfectly when made. Not obvious at all when worn. Looks amazing!
