Description: I Removed this Mandeville & King Co. Wooden Point Of Sale Retail Seed Box from a long closed multi generational store many years ago The box had been re-used to store old invoices there , the newest receipt I found inside was 1922 The condition of this box is quite nice with some expected patina and the interior label is in great shape and only very slight fading and staining The original hardware is still present and works well The box measures approximately 15 3/8" wide x 12" deep ( with hardware ) and 3" high The wood still has the original aged finish ( as expected ) on the box and the wood species appears to be chestnut and the bottom looks like poplar but I'm not 100% sure The construction of the piece uses box joints on the corner ( see Photo ) I've had this very nice original advertising box for a long time It's a Great Display piece !
