Antique Majolica Sunflower and Urn Plate c.1877-1887

Description: Offered is this beautiful antique majolica Plate. This was made by Samuel Lear who opened his factory in England in 1877 and closed in 1887. This is known as the Sunflower and Urn pattern. This is well marked with the British Registry mark. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips. It has two stilt marks on the front from being fired in the kiln, a fine line on the back rim and overall glaze crazing which is normal with antique majolica. This gorgeous antique plate measures just over 8 inches wide. This will be beautiful in your private collection.
