Description: Antique C.1915 Lindstrom "US Mail" Truck/Van Clockwork 7" Long Excellent Works GreatThis antique, C.1915, Lindstrom "US Mail" Truck/Van is made of lithographed tinplate metal, has a clockwork motor wound at the front with the attached crank and tinplate metal wheels. The front axle has an off-set that rings a bell as it rotates and there is an on-off lever at the rear. It is 7" long and was made by the Lindstrom Tool & Toy Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut USA. The Lindstrom identification appears stamped into the metal in front of the driver on the floor. Lindstrom made toys beginning in 1913 and ceased production in the 1940's. This US Mail truck is known to be one of their early toys. This van is in excellent condition with some small marks to the litho and aging to the unpainted parts underneath.
