Description: This is a lovely set of Limoges France fine china dishes for a snack or lunch setting. 4-piece set (cup, saucer, lunch plate, small plate) made by Coiffe of Limoges, France, for the American importer Lewis Straus & Sons. This set dates anywhere from 1890 to 1920. This set has an elaborate and rich looking pattern with a thick painted band of gold adorning a scalloped, scrolled edge, on a white porcelain china. They are designed in heavy gold band with scalloping fluting and embossing. Definitely fitting for the elaborate Gilded Era style!! This set has a snowflake gold center on the plate and bread or dessert plate. The teacup and saucer are elaborately gold gilded too with scalloping and embossing. The china is delicate to the touch. A beautiful set for your finest display or serving table!! Plate measures about 8" across The bread / dessert plate measures about 6 1/2" across. The saucer measures about 5 3/4" across. The teacup measures about 4 1/4" across including the handle. This lovely antique dishes set is in very good antique condition with noted. Just Beautiful!
