Description: This is an original antique (19th century) wood dome top steamer or stagecoach trunk bound in patterned leather with steel bands, brass rivets, and leather straps. One leather strap is missing, and the other one is broken at the end, but both leather handles are securely attached. The trunk is sturdy and solid but the latch needs a key to lock (not included) and there is a lot of surface wear on all surfaces. The leather is missing some pieces and heavily worn in some areas, but still intact overall. One decorative brass rivet is missing and one is missing the cap, the rest are intact. Both hinges are securely attached and the lid functions as it should. The paper covering inside is heavily worn and stained. It does not have an odor and is functional as-is. The trunk measures 26" L x 15" W x 15" H and will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping. Please provide a street address for shipping as this will not be delivered to a PO box.
