Description: This is a nice early red & white baby's mattress cover from an old Lancaster County, Pennsylvania collection. There is a single panel of early red & white fabric about 24" wide x 66". The mattress cover is open at one end to pass the mattress into the covering, there are 4 fabric ties to keep the opening closed. There may be some very minor staining and sun-fade but it is very hard to see because the pattern is quite small. This was probably made for a very young child. There is good usable fabric here, the material is very clean and does not show much ware. This could be used for many projects. Of course, if you just want to fold this and display it in a cupboard. It is nice early red & white fabric.
