Description: A very intricate antique Japanese Shippo cloisonne enamel on copper charger plate, late 1800's or early 1900's. The piece is a beautiful turquoise background with hand painted birds, butterflies, lucky bamboo, and grasshopper on the 12" front side, the back also has detailed cloisonne work and hand painting, unfortunately due to age it has about a 4-inch X 2-inch section of loss, please see pics. The display side has slight crazing of paint but would not affect use as decorative object.
