Description: This beautiful silver plate teapot is by James W Tufts Quadruple Plate Boston. The teapot has a Victorian etched floral design on both sides and a very ornate floral band design all along the top. The beautifully shaped handle has a ringed design in the middle and the long spout has a similar design where it attaches to the teapot. The lid has bold etched lettering on one side and a tall finial on the top. The dimensions of the teapot are 10” long, 5” wide, 7” high and 17 1/2” diameter not including the spout or handle. This wonderfully designed teapot is from 1940 and it is stamped as such on the bottom along with the James W Tufts Quadruple Plate name. The teapot lid hinge is broken so the lid comes off completely but still fits the teapot perfectly. There are slight markings at the top of the spout and expected tarnishing and patina from age but there are no dents, holes, or deep scratches anywhere on the teapot. See all photos.
