Description: Antique Heisey Glass #353 Medium Flat Panel 12 oz PitcherThis Heisey 12 oz pitcher is in excellent condition. The "H within a diamond" Heisey trademark is present in the base of the pitcher. The base and panel edges have age appropriate wear. There are two small defects in the body of the pitcher: 1) a 4 mm chip on a panel edge and 2) 5 mm irregular scratch (manufacturing flaw?) in the center of a panel. See arrows in photos to identify flaws. While clear glass when manufactured, this piece has purple photochemical discoloration due to its manganese dioxide content and exposure to direct UV light. This Heisey antique piece, produced in Ohio, dates back to 1909-1929.The clear glass and colonial style add to the allure of this item, which has been well-preserved over the years.
