Description: An amazing handmade woolen coverlet created by George Sarn in 1843 Shafers Town. This vibrant reversible wool coverlet is 67"W x 85"L. It has fringe on three sides. The identification is located at both corners on the unfringed side. It is in excellent condition with no holes and no tears. Seam is tight and missing only a small area of fringe...see picture. I have personally owned it for 40 years and it has been carefully stored that entire time. I acquired it from my grandmother, an antiques nut, who took utmost care of everything she owned. The design is one of a fancy coverlet with numerous round tulip medallions and accented with botanical themed leaves and other flowers. The colors are blue, orange and yellow on a light tan background. I have included photos of any area which showed a stain. There are additionally a few slubs and one tiny thin area all photographed and shared.
