Description: Antique gray mottled graniteware, enamel over cast iron horse head spoon rest. Unmarked but made by the Prizer Stove Co. as a premium back in the 1920-1930's. An example similar to this piece is shown in one of Helen Greguire's Granite Ware books. This spoon rest is overall in good condition with some flea bites to the horses nose, forelock and mane. See closeups and photos. Lovely color, it is dapple gray with dark gray mane, the mottling has a slight 3-D effect. I'm downsizing and will be listing other graniteware spoon rests from my collection. Thanks for looking!
