Description: Description of item for sale: This nicely carved antique gothic crown/canopy is from France and it dates to the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is made from solid oak wood finished to a dark oak color. There are traces of original gold paint accents (see photos). It is in very good antique condition with no evidence of dry rot and little inactive woodworm damage. We also believe there should be a center spire or cross that is no longer present. Dimensions: 27" tall, 24" wide and 27" deep.
