The graphics are printed on semi-opaque white enamel sheet and encased on the underside. The subject of the portrait is Colonel Albert Augustus Pope (1843-1909), importer, promoter, and manufacturer of bicycles, and a manufacturer of automobiles. He was also "the pioneer of the great movement for better roads" according to the text under his image. No chips or cracks, some scratch lines and wear to the top surface of the paperweight.
