ExquisiteAntique 19th Century French Art Nouveau Sterling Silver & Vermeil Tea Strainer Floral Pattern This is a gorgeous antique French sterling silver & vermeil tea strainer, late 19th century. This lovely tea strainer in Art Nouveau style with beautiful floral pattern measures 5 1/4" long, 2" diameter opening, and 1" deep. Weighs 24 grams. Hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, depicting the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her, which guaranteed the finest quality French sterling silver of 950/1000 purity in use from 1838 (95% pure silver and higher grade than the standard .925 for sterling). No maker's mark. The tea strainer is in very good condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, please see pics. No monograms, removals, repairs or alterations.
