There are a couple of tiny dings through use as one might expect. The lid is a lift off type. It is fully hallmarked just below the lid, andpartially hallmarked on the lid rim. There is also a registered number adjacentto the foot on either long side. The pepperette is marked for Birmingham 1904,while the lid was assayed one year later, 1905. The maker's initials are partiallyrubbed but legible, the pepperette produced by E.J.
