Beautifully embroidered with cotton whitework Broderie Anglaise on front and cuffs. Meant to be worn over a corset to minimize the waist; the front of blouse is draped and gathered over the waistband in an outstanding example of the "pouter pigeon" silhouette so popular in the 1890s-1900s.
