Description: Description: A flint wine glass, made in Pittsburgh circa 1825-1840. Conical bowl, wafer stem, polished pontil. Bowl is cut with a series strawberry diamonds alternating with eye-shapes. The diamonds are surmounted by fans, the eyes with vertical rays. From the Momjian collection. Set and Joan Momjian were best known for their collection of White House glass and china, but their collecting extended to a board range of historic ceramics and glass. Reference: Lowell Innes, Pittsburgh Glass 1797-1891, Houghton Mifflin Co. Boston, 1976, plate 104 & 105. Size: 3.875" tall, 2.125" in diameter at rim, 2.5" at foot.
