Description: For sale is an antique chalkware dog. Likely made in Pennslyvannia but not sure. Recently found in Ohio. Dates 1840-1880s. Possibly hollow as it is light weight but the bottom is solid and cant tell. Has some wear but nothing too distracting. Still displays nicely on a shelf. About 3 and 1/4 inches tall (maybe slightly taller). Base is roughly 3 and half inches by 1 and 5/8 inches. See can for scale. Condition: Displays well. Has some flaking and wear to the pottery. Most notably on the nose, ears and back. Has some paint loss. No touch ups to the paint though. All original. Some flaking off of the base. Has a mold line inbetween the legs. Or a fold in the chalkware. Definitely not a crack. No cracks. See photos and video to determine condition for yourself.
