Antique Barometer Scientific Instrument Marked P Poncia Evesham 38” Mid 1800’s

Description: Selling for parts or repair. This is an antique barometer it is marked Evesham and P Poncia on the front bottom instrument. The back panel has a functional hinged door. Inside the compartment there are several glass instruments secured by wire. There is a label that reads “Robert Groves May 13, 1863, 519.” Also, someone has handwritten the letters GHC and VIII is lightly carved into the inside back panel. See photos, this piece is in remarkable condition given its age, the bottom has some chipping and peeling, a couple of edges are worn or splintered. The wood is dull, looks to be mahogany, but not sure of the wood. Approximately 38” x 10” x 3”
