Antique Arts & Crafts Style Expressionist California Landscape Oil Painting

Description: untitled Antique Arts & Crafts Style Expressionist California Landscape Oil Painting This is an amazing little plein air oil on art board landscape painting of what appears to be a California scene from the early 20th century. This painting is unsigned and in good original condition. I love the use of brush strokes and color by the artist to express details. I realize California is known for its Impressionists artist, but to me this painting is too abstract to be described as anything other than Expressionism. I've provided several close-ups to give you a sense of the rich brush work. There is one spot at the top of the tree leaves along the right side where there is a loss of paint to the surface. I didn't notice this right away because this area is the same color as some of the lighter browns and more or less blends with the work pretty nicely. This painting measures 9 7/8" x 7 15/16" as displayed within the frame. The frame and all measures 13 1/2" x 11 5/8". Please email me if you have any questions or need more pictures.
