Description: Estate find, as is. Please check pictures for the condition. This beautifully painted all bisque doll is an artist reproduction of an antique Steiner A-9 doll. It was made in 1984 by Jan Doehring from New Orleans, LA. Doehring dolls were made from the mid-1970s through the early 2000s. They have been featured in Estee Lauder commercials, and Franklin Mint bought six different designs for mass production. This doll has a beautiful light gray dress (a bit faded, once possibly of light lilac color) matching pantaloons, ivory stockings and shoes. Please note the shoes are tight and the straps do not reach the buttons. Gorgeous bonnet, and earrings complete the elegant look. The dress and bonnet are lavishly decorated with tiny pearl beads, cotton (possibly antique and handmade) lace and satin ribbon roses. She comes with a metal stand, ready for display. Condition: previously was displayed in a glass cabinet and on an open shelf for a short period of time. Very clean with minor dust residue. The doll can hold the pose. The dress has hook closure, embellished with pearl beads. Cotton off-white slip dress with snap closure. No smell. No damage or cracks observed on her body.
