If a refund is accepted a restocking fee would be applied to reflect the cost of the sizing should it be done by us or the value diminished as a result of the sizing, especially if it needs to be resized back to a more standard size. An important thing to mention regarding condition descriptions of antique jewelry is its judgement criteria which is very different than that applied to modern jewelry. The expectation for modern jewelry classified as being in "excellent' condition is an item that is possibly high polished and in close to new condition. Antique jewelry is never supposed to be polished. In fact, polishing antique jewelry can actually diminish its value. Therefore, patina, mild surface scratches, bruises, nicks and other indications of age can, and depending on the degree, should be present in antique jewelry classified as being in excellent condition. The more important condition factors to consider in antique jewelry is the integrity of the its structure and its design features such as migraine, setting work, engraving, filigree work, etc. If a new look with an antique design is what you're looking for, reproduction jewelry would probably be the better option.
