Description: Up for Auction or Buy it Now this unique and interesting Antique 3 Legged Cast Iron Pot, Cauldron, or Dutch Oven Base with Gate Mark. 9-7/8” across the top 4-1/2” excluding legs You are not seeing things!!! one leg is actually much shorter than the other 2 legs. 2 legs are 2” tall and the short leg is 1-5/8” tall. Very interesting 9” across the bottom. Gate mark is clearly present and is 4-1/2” long. The handles are 2 pieces welded together then welded to the pot. The legs are also welded on. Please watch the video!!! No cracks that i can see or hear. Both inside and outside are rough as opposed to smooth. Weighs 7 pounds 14.4 oz. No lid. Perhaps it had a handle at one time looping thru the handles. There is one almost identical to it listed online at the Museum Collection Valley Forge National Historical Park. I will package it perfectly to prevent damage! Please take a minute to look at all the pictures, and do not hesitate to ask questions. Thank you for looking.
