Description: For sale is a plate / soup bowl made by Meissen in 1893 for the personal use of Kaiser Wilhelm the Second. Quite rare to find these nowadays! A great plate with a relief design to the rim with four bugs in between, a large central floral arrangement and lots of scattered smaller flowers and more bugs. Gold trim to the nicely shaped edge. What makes this piece special besides being a nicely done piece is the fact that it was made for the Kaiser and has his personal monogram is on the back! The plate is in perfect condition with a tiny bit of wear and a popped glaze bubble to the backside rim as shown. As good as it gets really! The plate is 1.5 inches tall and has a diameter of 9.75 inches.
